Solid Waste

We are still finding a significant amount of household waste in our recyclable containers and recyclable waste in our household waste containers. During our most recent yard waste chipping we also found a significant amount of construction waste. Please be responsible when disposing of your trash.

We will no longer be able to take construction waste in our yard waste area. We will be doing our own chipping and will not be able to handle any material other than yard waste. All construction waste will have to be disposed of in the appropriate open top dumpster in the yard and each load will be charged the current rate of $54.00 per pickup load. Please contact the Public Works Department when you have construction waste to unload. For definition purposes, anything that has been through a manfacturing process, ie. construction lumber, railroad ties, etc. is construction waste and must be disposed of in the open top container in the Public Works yard.
